Abstract:A new process to cleaner product refined cadmium from sponge cadmium was introduced with a detailed description of the features of the process. The first feature was to realize oxygen-free casting for crude and refined cadmium with nitrogen as the protection gas. The second one was to apply vacuum distillation technology which is low carbon and environmentally friendly. ?The third feature was to apply the advanced dust collection technology to ensure the dust emission is less than 5 mg/m3.
