Abstract:
      Leaching scandium from the copper tailing or pre-concentration scandium concentrate were investigated in the study. The results showed that the two schemes have the same technology conditions. The optimum experimental conditions were that weight percentage of H2SO4 was 60%, the assist leaching agent CaF2 was 10%, ratio of liquid to solid was 3.0~4.0: 1, Leaching temperature was 90°C, Leaching time was 8 h, The projects directly leaching SC from tailings can be obtained leaching rate of 90.36%, leaching SC from scandium concentrate had leaching rate of 91.23%.The cost accounting index that the later scheme would less than the former 2200 $ with cost of producing 1kg scandium oxide.
