Abstract:
The detailed experiment researches of a nickel-copper sulfide ore were conducted according to the mineralogy characteristics of the ore. The sodium carbonate was used as pH modifer, sodium hexametaphosphate and carboxymethyl cellulose were used as modifer, mixed xanthate was used as collector in the experiment. A concentrate with nickel grade of 10.89%, copper grade of 4.27% and nickel recovery 81.61%, copper recovery 85.03% was achieved adopt the process with one rough, one concentration and two scavenging. The content of magnesium oxide in the product lower than 6.8%,which comply with the requirement of smelting. The role of sodium hexametaphosphate and carboxymethyl cellulose in the copper sulfide nickel ore flotation was analyzed, the results show that sodium hexametaphosphate can disperse the serpentine and sulfide minerals, reduce the adverse effect of serpentine mineral on sulfide mineral flotation, and carboxymethyl cellulose can depress the flotation of magnesium silicate gangue mineral and realize the flotation separation of sulfide minerals from gangue minerals.
