Abstract: |
hematite technology was highly emphasized by domestic and international researchers for its resulting residue, the hematite, has not only higher iron content but also less residues, and it has no secondary pollution. This study is aim to elucidate the effect of the presence of sodium sulfate in the hematite process on the iron removal process and the properties of hematite. The results showed that the jarosite was more likely to convert into hematite and improved the efficiency of iron removal with the increase of temperature, time and seed addition, and the control of the sodium ion concentration. The high quality hematite residues(the iron removal rate was about 96%, the iron content of precipitate was larger than 62%, the content of S and Na was respectively 1.42% and 0.067%) were obtained when the temperature was 180℃, the seed addition was 15g/L, and the concentration of sodium sulfate was 0.15 mol/L. |
