Abstract:
The dissolution of a bauxite deposit in China is studied by different additives (magnesium oxide, dicalcium ferrite, hydro calcium ferrite, hydro calcium ferrite with red mud magnetic iron oxide) instead of lime Bayer process. The results show that hydro calcium ferrite is the best. When C/S = 1.3,the red mud N/S decrease to 0.31, A/S drop to 1.2, the dissolution rate increase to 96.91%. By the means of this study, can optimize the production process and develop new additives to provide a reference for the alumina production enterprises to increase energy-saving and emission-reducing.
