Abstract:
The copper grade of a low grade copper sulfuric acid slag was 0.29%, and the iron grade was 56.11%. Direct flotation or sulfuric acid leaching can not recovery the copper in sulfate acid slag, which affects the quality of the final iron concentrate and cause waste of copper and iron resources. It is found that the copper mainly exists as copper sulfide after reduction roasting, and the embedded particle size of copper mineral is finer. In this paper, the effects of leaching agent concentration, grinding fineness, leaching temperature, liquid-solid ratio and leaching time on leaching of copper in sulfuric acid residues after reduction roasting were investigated. Under the optimal leaching conditions of 3% H2SO4 concentration, 74.55% of grinding fineness -0.045 mm, leaching temperature 70 ℃, 1:4(g/mL) solid-liquid ratio and 3h leaching time, the leaching rate of copper was 77.63% and the Cu content of leaching residue was 0.066%. Sulfuric acid dregs were reduced by reduction roasting-grinding-copper leaching-magnetic separation, the copper leaching rate was 82.68%, the high-quality iron concentrates with the iron grade of 66.45% and copper grade of 0.052% can be obtained, so as to realize the sulfuric acid slag of copper, iron resources recovery.
