Abstract:
The stress corrosion behavior of 5A06 aluminum alloy in air and 3.5 wt% NaCl under different PH conditions was studied by slow strain rate tensile test (SSRT), potentiodynamic polarization technique and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results show that when PH<9, a dense oxide film is gradually formed with the increase of PH value, and the PH value continues to increase to 9 when the film is broken down. With the increase of solution pH, corrosion rate of 5A06 aluminum alloy first decreased and then increased. Under near-neutral conditions, the corrosion rate and corrosion tendency were the least.
