Abstract: |
Using the Panzhihua sulfur-cobalt concentrate as raw materials, the effect of oxidizing roasting on desulfurization was studied. The roasting ore phase was studied theoretically by means of XRD analysis. The results show that through the oxidative roasting, the characteristic peak of pyrrhotite gradually disappear and the characteristic peak of hematite can be observed, and also the relative intensity of the pyrite is significantly reduced. It was indicated that oxidative roasting can effectively remove sulfur from sulfide minerals in sulphur-cobalt concentrate. Based on those, the pulverized coal was used as the reducing agent and the polyvinyl alcohol as binding agent, the pressure molding-direct reduction experiment of roasting ore was carried out, and the influences of reduction temperature, reduction time and the mass ratio of ore to coal on metallization rate of the pellets were studied. The results show that the optimized technology parameters obtained are the sulfur cobalt concentrate contain minus 200 mesh 75%, the content of binding agent of 0.6%, the moulding pressure of 6MPa, the moisture of 12%, the mass ratio of ore to coal of 100:15, the reduction temperature of 1100℃ and the time of 25min. Under these conditions, the metallization rate of the pellets can be up to 72.80%. |
